I had horrible experience in this clinic (first time). I am a traveller, needed only one treatment in this center. First of all, I was told to come at 07:15 AM but I had to wait an hour, because the room is huge (around 20 people there) with full of patients and not so many nurses. Second of all, I sent via email and brought the papers from my hospital with all the settings of the machine - I need slower dialysis otherwise I feel really bad. The assigned nurse did not want to set the machine how my papers advised because it is "against their protocol", so she called the doctor, who said okay to my papers. Then it turned out (when I started to feel really bad during the treatment and did not understand why) that another nurse set the machine back to the "protocol speed" which is 390 (instead of my prescribed 250) without asking me or the doctor. It was also said that somebody had checked my papers beforehand and did not approve what it was clearly written there and advised to set the speed to 300. Just because I made a big thing out of it in the middle of the room, they had to call the doctor who came to me and apologized. She said it was due to a "missing communication between the nurses" , but none of the nurses came to me afterall to say sorry, which would have been the bare minimum in this situation what a human being should do. The consequence of their behavior was that I had to cancel my day in Lisbon, because I felt so bad after the treatment I could not walk just sitting on a stairs in a P+R... It is ridicolous that a patient with official papers in hand has to argue and prove what is written there - Why do they ask for the papers if they don't care what's there? Nobody can give that day back to me, but I hope they slept well, because the "protocol was pushed through".. I'll do my best not to come back here ever.
