Honestly, I'm very impressed with Berlin, the service at the German dialysis center, and agent’s mediation. Thanks to you, my family and I had a truly wonderful vacation. We had previously searched for dialysis centers in Polish holiday resorts, but to no avail. It turned out that reservations need to be made at the very beginning of the year. All five of us were satisfied with our stay in Berlin.

Now a few words about NEPHROLOGICUM NEUKÖLLN MVZ GMBH itself. I am very pleased with both my contact with Ms. Nurse and the rest of the dialysis center staff. When I arrived at the center on Friday, everyone present immediately knew who I was. All my documentation was prepared, which I sent by email to Ms. Nurse. This was my first visit to a dialysis center outside of Poland. I noticed several differences between the German procedures and ours:
- The people operating the machines also made the beds and helped with serving meals. In Poland, there are no meals, but nurses are assigned to the machines, and attendants to the beds.
- The regular bedding was nice, not the artificial kind like in Poland.
- I was only weighed once, during my first dialysis session. In Poland, I'm weighed every time before and after the procedure.
- I had two doctor's appointments for every three dialysis sessions. In Poland, every visit to the center begins with a meeting with the doctor.
- Refreshments: a roll with your choice of cheese or sausage. Orange or apple juice, and coffee. Everything was fresh.
- The language was so-so. I barely spoke German, but the staff and I were on a similar level in English. It wasn't easy, but we finally reached an understanding.
- I don't have a fistula, just a catheter. I was surprised that only the nurse was wearing masks when connecting and disconnecting the machine. In Poland, both I and the staff wear masks whenever we "fiddle" with the catheter, which seems more logical to me.
I didn't use transportation because we rented a hotel room no more than 10-15 minutes from the dialysis center.
Of course, I gave Ms. Nurse the magnets. One from City K., where I live, and the other from my hometown, S. After returning to my center, everyone was curious about my experience, both the staff and the patients.
Thank you very much for your commitment, help, and excellent communication. I will recommend your services to other patients. At home, we're already considering which country to visit next year.

Exceptional staff, both nurses and doctor, very polite, very clean clinic and a serious reason for those of us that need dialysis to come back in Berlin!
Thank you so much!

- Es ist gut, vor der Dialyse selbst mit der Klinik Kontakt aufzunehmen (falls sich die Klinik nicht meldet).
- Vielen Dank für die professionelle Behandlung.

My first dialysis outside my home country. And an excellent choice ;) The staff was really friendly and very efficiency. The nurse had six patients; at home one nurse has a max of three but it seemed quieter in Berlin than at home.

My only improvemt point is communications. I booked via BookDialysis and received an inmediate reply with information on what dialysis centres typically ask for but that the center would contact me directly. They didn’t so I wrote to them asking if they needed anything else than what centres typically ask for. The reply was that they would evaluate the samples once they received them. My home dialysis centre was rather confused as to what they should do. In the end they sent the samples mentioned and filled in their own standard form and sent that off. I never heard whether this was what they wanted so I was a bit appeehensive when I arrived. Everything, however, was perfect - they knew I was coming and were fully prepared. I just wish they would have told me that ;)
